IPTV Buffering & Performance Troubleshooting

Encountering playback interruptions, frozen screens, or audio lag? Follow our proven technical fixes below.

1. Verify Connection Speed & Ethernet Cable

For smooth 4K UHD streaming without buffering, ensure your internet connection maintains at least 25 Mbps download speed. Whenever possible, connect your Smart TV or Firestick Ethernet adapter directly to your router using a Cat6 cable to bypass Wi-Fi interference.

2. Clear IPTV App Cache & Data

Over time, accumulated temporary stream data can slow down app performance. Go to your Firestick or Android settings, select Applications → HOT Player (or IPTV Smarters), and click "Clear Cache".

3. Change Hardware Decoder Settings (ExoPlayer vs VLC)

If audio is out of sync with video, switch your player's decoder inside app settings from Hardware (HW) to Software (SW) or select ExoPlayer as the default video engine.

4. Change Router DNS to Cloudflare (1.1.1.1)

Some Canadian Internet Service Providers (ISPs) apply restrictive default DNS filters. Updating your router's DNS settings to Cloudflare (Primary: 1.1.1.1, Secondary: 1.0.0.1) or Google (8.8.8.8) significantly speeds up stream routing.
